Marking India’s 75 years of independence, Asia Society New York hosts a program that honors grassroots activists fighting child sex trafficking. The event opens with a keynote conversation between Apne Aap founder Ruchira Gupta and writer and activist Gloria Steinem, followed by an awards ceremony, panel discussion, and a musical performance.

Awardees included Ruby Sales, legendary civil rights activist; Tatiana Kotlyarenko, advisor on anti-trafficking issues at the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE); Kendall Alaimo, survivor leader and founder of #SeatForSurvivors; and Chloe Flower, musical powerhouse and Grammy show-stopper.
